I am going to start tutorials on SFX, Sound Design, Scoring and Editing Movie Trailers. This is what we will be making first.
I just got a copy of Gravity by Heavyocity and I was pumped to get in and start making something epic. I figured the best way to get start was to make another “trailer remix” – as I call them. I also was thinking of tutorial ideas and how I could tie the two together.
I decided I wanted to make the stuttery crescendo of sound and picture that is common in thriller and horror trailers. Where the sound and picture cuts out faster and faster. While the sound gets more intense and the film being spliced is filled with action and sexual innuendo.
Below is the final product. The tutorials will begin next week, so come back then, or for you people of the future, just search the site for “trailer”. 😉
I decided to use the teaser trailer of “The Strangers” for this project. This is my third trailer remix.
If you want to check out some of my first attempts at Trailer Remixing check out these two
If you want to read (a ton) about how I set up these things check this out.
