In this video tutorial I am going to run some already good dialogue through the iZotope’s Neutron Advanced to see what the Track Assistant can do for it.

The dialogue has already been cleaned with iZoptope’s RX. I removed some background noise and gave it a gentle gain boost. Nothing serious; as nothing serious was needed.

However, when listening to the results I find it to be a little bassy at the bottom end. What I would do is add a high shelf to an EQ and a bit of compression on the upper end to get things a bit brighter.

I wanted to see if Netron’s Track Assistant, which is essentially a combo of AI and Good Processing Practices programmed into an algorythm, and see if it recognized the same issues I did.

Track Assistant: The revolutionary Track Assistant is like having an assistant engineer at your disposal 24/7. Use it on any audio track to create optimal starting points so you can focus on what’s important – the mix.

Not only did it recognize those problems, it fixed them! It did exactly what I wanted it to do and all I had to do was click one button.

I can’t express to you how incredible this is. I can’t wait until this type of feature is common place on all plug ins!!
